Welcome to New Mexico!

I just unpacked the last box yesterday, so I guess that means I better start blogging so everyone that we are far away from now can see what we've got going on down here!  This post is just a ton of pictures which is what you all want to see anyway, right?

There was so much stuff in the car that poor Sammy was squished. Luckily she was an Angel on the way down!
Here she is getting a break from the car seat right outside of Moab because this happened...
 Bummer...

Here are some pictures of our cute little place.

This is the kitchen...it is tiny. Luckily, though, we have a dishwasher and a decent amount of cupboard space.

This is the laundry "room". I am VERY thankful for this. The majority of housing here (Our place included) is old government housing from when they were working on the Manhattan Project.
A select few have been updated to have this addition on the back to hold the washer and dryer.  The rest have the washer in the kitchen and the dryer is on the back porch in a closet. The other day I was in back with Sammy and the neighbor came out to get clothes out of the dryer and all she had on was underwear...It was awkward...

Dining room

Our tiny cute backyard.  The people that lived here before us put in the walkway and patio and also planted grass and a garden. We are some of the only ones with grass on our entire street.  Water is super expensive here so most people just have dirt yards.  We'll see how the grass does next year.  It is monsoon season right now so it rains everyday at least once. I have already mowed it four times and we have only been here three weeks. And it looks a lot better now that I have spent at least 4 hours pulling weeds.

Our house is also right on a canyon. You just go out the back gate right onto hiking trails. It is pretty awesome.

Harry Potter closet under the stairs

Living Room. That huge vent in the corner is the intake for the furnace...that is under the house. The other day Sammy peed on it, but that is another story...

Living room again.

Upstairs hallway

Our bedroom. The closets in this house are actually huge considering when it was built.

Sammy's room. It has the words to "You are my sunshine" stenciled in between the yellow lines. It is really cute. I guess it's a good thing she's a girl cause it's in pink.

And apparently I didn't take a picture of our third bedroom, but it's nothing spectacular, so I guess you're not missing much.

And this is the bathroom. Unfortunately there is only one of them.  Another thing about living in an old house. At least it is updated though so I can't complain too much.
